The Annual Sussex Cross Country Championships were held at a very muddy Bexhill common, however that did not stop a record 51 Brighton youngsters turning out and there many excellent performances and we came away with 3 first team titles and 2 second team places. Individually there were 3 second places and a third place. Apart from our medal winners there was excellent back up in all our teams.

We did have a 1st in the girls u/11 where Dulcie Yelling had another easy victory and will now move up to the u/13. In the u/11 boys Jude Clayton finished in 5th place.

Like the previous 3 teams there was excellent backup with Joe Luker 16th, Baxter Fletcher 17th, Archie Rowles 18th were the first B team in 4th place just outside the medals. Not far behind Harvey Grant 19th, George Taylor 27th, Josh Pay 29th, Oscar Davies 33rd competed another fine team performance..

In the U/17 women despite not having a full team Amber Wright 10th and Jemima Edwards 15th both had good runs. In the u/20 women Emma Gill was 4th 18th in the race and helped the senior team to collect 3rd place. Amy Gamblin was the 8th u/20 and 69th in the race.
